Chinese Word Recognition
- Using multiple intelligences (MI) methodology to develop students’ potential through play, interaction, and creative activities while extending Chinese vocabulary more independently
- The use of multimedia learning to understand the history, meaning and the core components in the formation of Chinese words (CD + worksheet)
- Clear and easy-to-follow lesson plans on how words are originated, formed and pronounced
- Interesting animations and pictorial aids are used to help students remember the Chinese characters
- Guided worksheets and practice sessions to building-up confidence in speaking, identifying areas of weakness and eliminating error in writing Chinese character
Reading of Chinese Classics
Use of literary Chinese Classics such as Di Zi Gui 《弟子规》, San Zi Jing 《三字经》, Da Xue《大学》, Lun Yu 《论语》to stimulate interest and appreciation of Chinese literature and culture |
